Relentless, repetition and iteration. It’s how I would describe the process, but also what we wanted to reflect about the athlete and the maker with the very first House Of Innovation stores. It only made sense that the relentless rounds and revisions and shifts and tweaks were all part of the creative process as well. The House of Innovation concept showcases the ingenuity and the sweat that goes into training for sport while highlighting the science, ingenuity, process and development that goes into making the products that pay off the athletes effort. “A peak behind the curtain,” is how some have described it. A pioneering effort in terms of design at this scale, but also for the technology involved. It laid the marker for omni-channel experiential design, from QR code scanning technology to BOPIS, to new ways and perks the app offers for those that visit. The HOI journey starts on the app and ends in the store, offering a fast and frictionless experience for those that simply want in and out, without sacrificing the immersive experience that so many others crave.
