NIKE Running SHOWCASE NYC/LA

Conceptually this was a fun project to work on. This was a showcase to feature Nike running product in NYC/LA and we wanted to capture that urban running essence. Running through the city, exploring, running past new construction, really making the city a playground. We’ll call it a precursor to parkour. Conceptually I wanted to take this a bit further. I wanted to take all that and put it in the context of Bladerunner. What would it look like if I was running through this wet, dirty, dystopian version of NYC/LA? The idea was to use these wedges as the basic form and then I wanted to have all these corrugated tubes sticking out of them that were lit from the inside, so everything had this glow to it. Smoke coming out from vents. It was admittedly ambitious for a showcase, but it was my first one. So in the end we ended up taking out all the Bladerunner and kept the wedges.
