UMPQUA BANK POP-UP

I was asked to design a pop-up booth that could be easily assembled, disassembled, crated and shipped to various conferences and events along the west coast. It needed to be simple enough to be assembled with 2 people in roughly an hour. I started with 4 approaches based largely on cost and flexibility. But we were all pretty in love with this direction. The open slate configuration is meant to draw people through the booth rather than into a marketing trap. Conceptually I wanted to take banking out of it’s typical context and bring it more into a domestic / coffee shop space. The slats are meant to create an open feeling to the space. The bar actually works as the structural stabilizer. The opposite side is more domestic with pillows, books, magazines, and objects that reference a living space. At the tail end, is an super organic experience, where we could ask provocative questions and learn more about our users. My favorite part is that it can be assembled with a single allen wrench…So, suck it Ikea!
