Immediately we called this the mullet. We knew we wanted to evolve. We had the big outlandish boldness, but we needed to turn it down a notch. Or rather, we needed to put on a suit and tie in certain places and rock our Skynrd tee in others. We’ve grown, matured…somewhat, and this needed to reflect that. So we wanted to balance precision and user experience with a playful and energetic visual language. So, we took a pretty simple approach to the UX, and then layered in brand elements to highlight particular areas and moments. As an experience agency, it was important that the user landed on an experience. Nothing overly complicated, just something that put them in control. So as the user scrolls down the home page, the content loading is responding to the scroll. We have a very energetic bright brand, and so we wanted to lay into that color, but use it with intention. And then we wanted to layer on geometric patterns, so you get this dichotomy of energy and precision. What I really like is that with the parallax timing there are places where graphically it’s very layered and then others where things seem to be floating - transitioning in and out of space.
